Shira then reviews their medical history, asks about their lifestyle, and discusses symptoms or concerns you may have. 

She completes a physical examination to evaluate your child’s eyes, ears, breathing, throat, heartbeat, reflexes, and abdomen. She assesses their hearing, vision, growth, and development. 

Shira may suggest your child undergo a nasal or throat swab, urine test, blood tests, allergy or asthma testing, X-rays, or other imaging procedures as needed.
